The National Cyber Security Strategy: The British Experience to Date

Lecture

Our Visiting Fellow Danny Steed will give a talk for students and all others interested in learning more about cyber security on 18 April 2019 in The Hague.

Cyber security is the vogue national security issue of this decade, being almost unique in receiving increased funding when defence spending on the whole has come down following costly wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In this talk, Danny Steed will introduce attendees to cyber security before examining the British experience of building and executing the National Cyber Security Strategy, exploring the key components of thinking and the key events that have shaped British thinking, including the WannaCry attack in 2017. Discussion will end with the prospects on where British cyber security is looking to go next.

No registration needed.
