Dr François Delerue (@francoisdelerue) is currently research fellow in cyberdefense and international law at the Institute for Strategic Research (Insitut de Recherche Stratégique de l’École Militaire – IRSEM) and an adjunct lecturer at Sciences Po Paris. François is also rapporteur for international law in the EU Cyber Direct project. He just published his book titled ‘Cyber Operations and International Law’ with CUP.
François regularly lectures at the International Institute for Humanitarian Law at Sanremo (Italy) and in the Master in Cybersecurity of the Military Academy of Saint-Cyr (France). He has taught at the European University Institute (EUI), Sciences Po Paris and the University of Florence (Università degli Studi di Firenze). He is frequently invited to present at conferences and give guest lectures domestically and internationally.
He was previously a visiting researcher at Columbia University in New York and a Young Scholar Fellow at the Global Relations (Global İlişkiler Forumu) in Istanbul. He also worked as consultant in cybersecurity in a Paris-based firm.
He graduated with a Masters in international law and international organizations from the Sorbonne Law School (Paris 1 University). He holds an LLM in Comparative, European and International Laws from the EUI. He attended the 62nd youth seminar of the IHEDN (2009) and the international law and cyber operations seminar of the NATO School in Oberammergau (2013).
