Jeanne-Louise Roellinger's Visiting Fellowship
In November, Jeanne-Louise Roellinger joined us for a Visiting Fellowship at The Hague Program on International Cyber Security at Leiden University's The Hague Campus. We sat down with her to hear about her fellowship experience.
Why were you interested in coming here?
It is a secret for no scholar that socializing in your discipline and area of expertise is key for advancing research projects, and that is exactly what I was looking for by applying at this visiting fellowship. The Hague Program on International Cybersecurity offers an invaluable opportunity to participate in one of the rare interdisciplinary programs gathering cyber security enthusiasts in the same place. It really does make a difference to interact with people who share the same framework of analysis with you!
What did you work on during the fellowship?
As a second year PhD student, that fellowship came at the right moment as it gave me some time away from teaching and other activities to focus on developing my PhD project and to discuss it with the team. Furthermore, I found a second pair of hands for a project article on UN GGEs I was planning to continue during this fellowship!
What’s next for you?
I am back in Paris to get on with my PhD and prepare for fieldwork, hopefully next year, and maybe in the Netherlands...
